Local Conservatives in Frampton Cotterell, Coalpit Heath and Iron Acton have launched a survey, asking residents to share their thoughts on which key bus services should be reinstated to the villages.
Parish Councillors Tim Niblett and Andy Pullen are leading on a campaign to have the Y2 and Y4 bus service returned to Frampton Cotterell and Coalpit Heath, as the demand for these services becomes ever clearer.

In Iron Acton specifically, a petition has been launched by the local Conservative team, calling on South Gloucestershire Council, First Bus and the West of England Combined Authority, to work together to reinstate the Y3 service, the loss of which has left many residents feeling isolated.
Local resident and bus campaigner Tom Howell, said “This survey will help us make the case that the Y2, Y3 and Y4 were much needed services which would be used frequently in our area. It is not right that funding and service retention is prioritised for the more urban areas of South Gloucestershire and Bristol”
“Only together as a community can we make a constructive and powerful message to First Bus to demonstrate how much these services are needed for so many of our neighbours and fellow villagers.
