Becky is the South Gloucestershire Councillor for Chipping Sodbury and Cotswold Edge. She lives in the town with her husband Carlton, and their two children, Rosie and Beatrice.
Living locally all her life, Becky attended Chipping Sodbury Secondary School growing up, and is now on the PTA at St John’s Mead Primary School.
Becky has been a trustee of a charity over the past 13 years, which deals with childhood trauma and the effects it can have on people’s lives. Becky has worked in politics, journalism and helping to set up grass roots charities. Passionate about the environment, Becky organised and set up a Climate stall at the Eat Festival that is held in Chipping Sodbury, with a group of volunteers that she enlisted. Becky has also worked on the successful campaign to bring Soft Plastic Recycling to Chipping Sodbury.
Becky also wants to improve local bus services and make sure we get a greater share of investment for our rural buses so that we can all access vital public services like Southmead Hospital and Yate MIU.
In her spare time, Becky and her daughters go to the Ridings Park, go on bike rides over Sodbury Common, and plant trees in Old Sodbury. As a family, they are always out and about on the local community and enjoy nothing more than attending local events like the Mop Fair, Victorian Day or the Hawkesbury Horticultural Show.
